Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4 (TEL4) is now open and serving 7 new stations including Tanjong Rhu, Katong Park, Tanjong Katong, Marine Parade, Marine Terrace, Siglap, and Bayshore. These stations enhance connectivity for residents in the eastern part of Singapore, significantly reducing travel times. For example, the journey from Marine Parade to Shenton Way now takes only 20 minutes via TEL, compared to the previous 40-minute bus-and-train combination. The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) is a major development in Singapore's public transportation network, initially merging the Thomson Line and the Eastern Region Line into a single project. The TEL aims to improve accessibility and provide a seamless connection across various parts of the city.
