The morning is already warm heading into daybreak, with a high near 94°F (34°C) expected under mostly sunny skies and just a slim chance of a passing shower this afternoon. Still very much inside this heat dome, though yesterday was the worst of it. Early morning is the window to watch the feeder and the treeline before the heat shuts everything down by midday. If that stray shower does materialize it could briefly reset things, but otherwise expect a quiet, heavy afternoon. Some relief is building — temps start dropping noticeably this weekend and into early next week.
