The Final Caledonian Sleeper Mk3 movements at Carstairs.
In less than ideal lighting conditions, and in the freezing rain (Come on Scotland this is April, not February) - movements of the early hours of the 27th April 2019 were observed. This would be the final time the Lowland Sleeper would be operated by both Class 86s, 90s, and Mk3s. From Sunday 28th April, all Lowland services will use Mk5s. Farewell Mk3s, we will miss you (and relish you for a bit longer on the Highland Portion!)
