Platinum - 2000 International Quartet Quarterfinals (audio)

Man oh man am I excited to release this one. Celebrating their 25th anniversary this year is PLATINUM! To this day, Platinum stands firm in my mind as the greatest contest ensemble in the history of barbershop. A real life barbershop Mount Rushmore that only those of us lucky to be around International or the Sunshine District between 1999 and 2002 got to experience, outside of chapter shows. The most gold medals of any quartet in history with 13! (Tied with Keepsake, the other legendary Joe and Tony quartet. So far.) Their performance next week as someone born after they won and just a few weeks before they retired is quite literally a once in a lifetime opportunity for me! I can't believe I get to see a top 5 quartet of all time perform after being absent from International for the past 23 years. I simply couldn't let this occasion go by unnoticed so in tribute to Platinum, I wanted to release audio of their 2000 International Quarterfinals set, which has never been released publicly before! Unfortunately the official convention audio that was recorded at that convention seemed to heavily favor the right channel so the audio balance doesn't reflect what was actually happening, but with the GOAT himself, Tony De Rosa, singing for you at his absolute best, there are certainly no complaints from me.
