Route 66 Challenge Part 1 Progress update 1 Reseting the Workspace

Taking on an endurance run across the legendary Route 66 is no small feat—especially when your vehicle of choice is a classic 1966 Ford Mustang. In this video, we document the intense journey of preparing this iconic car for a cross-country drive from Chicago all the way to the coast of California. What started as a dream quickly became a real test of patience, skill, and determination. Getting a nearly 60-year-old machine road-ready hasn’t been easy. From tracking down hard-to-find parts to diagnosing stubborn mechanical issues, every step has pushed us to the limit. The engine needed careful attention, the suspension had to be reinforced for long-distance durability, and the electrical system required a full overhaul just to ensure reliability on the open road. But the challenges weren’t just mechanical. Staying motivated through setbacks, delays, and unexpected breakdowns has been one of the toughest parts of this project. There were moments where giving up felt easier—but piece by piece, problem by problem, we’ve pushed through. This video captures that process: the struggles, the small wins, and the determination to make this endurance run a reality. If you’ve ever taken on a project that felt bigger than you expected, this one’s for you. Now the question is—will the Mustang make it the distance?
