Pa Mac demonstrates how to make wood shingles (otherwise known as wood shakes) for roofing material to go on his new log chicken house. Using old-fashioned tools and simple raw materials, this old time, self-sufficient, and sustainable skill can be practiced by young and old alike on the small farm.
