To bounce or not to bounce? Spiccato off and on
Sometimes you already have all the tools you need to solve your problem! With this method of working on your violin spiccato, which I call "off and on", you'll find that your on-string playing translates directly and beautifully to your off-string strokes. To really make this work for you, you'll need to understand the 3 variables of sound production: bow speed, pressure, and contact point. Otherwise you'll find yourself hunting around for quality sound without knowing how to find it again. Luckily I have a free guide that you can download below: https://www.natesviolin.com/theres-no... Let me know how this works for you in the comments!
