Jane Human, Quiet Land

Quiet Land is a short documentary about Suffolk artist Jane Human. The film follows Jane as she prepares work for an exhibition at Gallery East, Woodbridge in September 2021. We watch as she works in the landscape - looking down into the small things, the field margins, wild flowers, ponds and gardens, with the occasional raising of the eyes to the horizon and the space beyond - before returning to her studio where she uses a 1940s, 3 tonne, offset litho press to transform her spontaneous, expressive marks into something more graphic.
