Dr. Pelayo Vilar invites us to meet one of the most important artisans in Tlayacapan, a famous town of traditional potters. There are many recognitions that his mother received and many also Doña Cuca. The FONART (National Fund for the Promotion of Crafts) promised him a new oven to be able to continue working with his pieces, but for the moment, this help has not arrived. Doña Cuca continues to work improvising the oven in her garden. I thank Doctor Pelayo for introducing me to a woman who deserves to be cared for as the heritage of a culture and tradition, which, as she says, is not from a year or two ago ... she comes from far away.
