My Favorite Costuming Books! (you need these on your bookshelf)
A ton of information is available online nowadays on all subjects, including historical costuming. However, I think there are still a handful of books that every costumer should own. These are books that you will no doubt find yourself returning to over and over. A lot of them contain gridded sewing patterns, or details on extant garments, or sewing instructions on how a specific garment was made, or fabrics used, or even tips about making historical garments for theatrical purposes! Basically, there is soooo much important information contained within these books, and you are definitely going to want to add these to your bookshelf. Find these books here Period Costume for Stage and Screen 1800-1909: https://www.amazon.com/dp/088734609X/... I also found it on scribd! https://www.scribd.com/document/50506...
