John B Hood Replies to a Letter from James Longstreet about Gettysburg
In 1875, more than a decade after the Battle of Gettysburg, Gen. James Longstreet wrote to fellow Gen. John B. Hood asking for his version of events of the fight, for Hood had not filed an official report of his division. Here's what Hood had to say.
