Prison Officers Killed In Shootout

Tension has gripped Naivasha Maximum Prison after it emerged that some of the five suspected gangsters shot dead by police early yesterday morning were prison warders. Drama erupted in the morning when six heavily armed suspected gangsters sprayed bullets on a police patrol car, killing one police officer in Naivasha town. The suspects then commandeered the police vehicle and drove towards Nairobi where they were ambushed by another contingent of police officers resulting in the shoot out.
