She is fourth in line to the throne of Monaco. Her maternal grandparents were the late Rainier III, and Grace Kelly. While she is named after her paternal great-grandmother, Princess Charlotte, Duchess of Valentinois. Princess Alexandra of Hanover (German: Alexandra Charlotte Ulrike Maryam Virginia Prinzessin von Hannover (born 20 July 1999 in Vöcklabruck, Upper Austria,) is the only child of Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, and Caroline, Hereditary Princess of Monaco. She was born six months after her parents' marriage.
