Base Plate and Anchor Reinforcement Design using RISA and IDEA StatiCa
RISA-3D users: connection design just got simpler. Discover the new RISA-IDEA SAF Integrator app that combines your model and results into one Checkbot-ready file. Then we walk a complete base plate workflow, from structural model integration to reinforced concrete design. Two for one: new integration, full base plate workflow. Try the Beta version of this integration by following the import instructions here: https://www.ideastatica.com/support-c... During this one-hour session, we will go through the full process: 1. Start in RISA-3D — prepare and solve the structural model, then export the model and the member section forces 2. Run the new RISA-IDEA Integrator app — combine the two RISA exports into a single SAF file in a few clicks 3. Open IDEA StatiCa Checkbot — create a project and import the generated file, then review the imported model 4. Design the base plate — Open a base plate node and model the base plate connection from the imported joint 5. Run the connection analysis — analyze and check the base plate and anchors with unreinforced concrete in Connection 6. Send the anchorage to Detail for an RC check — If anchors fail, use RC check to send information to reinforced concrete app Detail. 7. Reinforce the concrete in Detail — model, design and verify the pedestal/foundation and anchorage reinforcement. 8. Obtain results — review the complete set of steel and concrete results across the workflow and print report. 00:00 Intro to IDEA StatiCa suite 04:52 What is IDEA StatiCa Checkbot? 09:40 Intro to new RISA-IDEA StatiCa SAF Integrator app 15:43 Technical demonstration - RISA to Checkbot 26:33 Group and batch design 34:22 Export to Detail 3D for anchor reinforcement Model and design 44:37 Summary of the complete base plate design 48:35 Other integrations (STAAD and ETABS) 52:30 Questions and answers
