ନବକଳେବର ୧୯୭୭ ଓ ପାତ୍ର କମିଶନ/Navakalevar Rath Yatra of 1977 and Justice Patra commission

This episode describes in details about various rituals during 1977 Nabakalevar of deities in Shree Jagannath Temple,Puri and serious dislocation during Rath Yatra leading to large scale dissatisfaction among lakhs of devotees. There was divided opinion in various almanacs of the country about two Asadha months when Nabakalevar of deities is done.During Banajaga Yatra Daita Sevaks faced many hurdles in locating suitable neem trees for Daru.However with blessings of Maa Mangala this was accomplished just before the deadline. During Rath Yatra due to a decision by Government to allow Nabajauban darshan before Rath Yatra huge crowd entered temple from all four gates which dislocated timely rituals leading to delay in Rath Yatra.When Ratha was pulled on second day 6 Wheels broke down as a result of which pulling of Raths started only on third day which caused huge dissatisfaction among devotees. Government appointed Justice BK Patra to enquire into the issues and suggest remedies for future.
