Birmingham Pride is back on one of the most colourful days of the year! Thousands flooded the city centre today (Saturday, 23 May) to take part in the parade - from furries to fabulous drag queens, there was non-stop smiles as music blasted past some of our most iconic spots. Running since 1997, the festival usually attracts over 40,000 people, with many feeling deeply connected to the acceptance, joy, and love Pride represents. Member of the LGBTQ+ community Rachel said: “It brings people together! People forget this is a protest. "It's so important to show solidarity, I've never been anywhere with such a great atmosphere.
