I Got HARASSED in Mumbai, India 🇮🇳😨

I never expected this day in Mumbai to turn into something so uncomfortable. While exploring the city, a man approached us asking for photos. I politely said no multiple times because I didn’t feel comfortable in the area. Instead of respecting that, he laughed and continued following us for over 15 minutes. At one point, he disappeared — and then returned with a friend. The situation escalated when they began recording us and getting closer despite repeated requests to stop. Eventually, I had to physically push him away to create space. The police are currently handling the case. I also want to make something very clear: this is the first time something like this has happened to me during my two months traveling in India. The vast majority of my experience here has been incredibly welcoming and positive. I’ve met kind, helpful, and warm people, and I truly believe India is a beautiful country. This one situation does not define the country or its people — and it should not discourage anyone from visiting. Sharing this is simply part of sharing the real experiences that come with travel. If you’ve ever felt uncomfortable while traveling, trust your instincts and don’t be afraid to stand your ground.
