One of them is the Tomb of Dr. Sulistyo which is in the middle of the hills of Kalitengah Village, Kec. Purwanegara. The grave as well as a monument to this educational figure was recently visited by 140 travel agencies throughout Indonesia in the Pebemas Travel Mart II series (July 22-26, 2019). Chairman of the House of Representatives, Bambang Soesatyo inaugurated the monument and tomb complex of Dr. Sulistiyo in Kalitengah Village, Kec. Purwanegara, Kab. Banjarnegara, (13 September 2019). The inauguration was marked by the signing of the inscription by Bambang Soesatyo, accompanied by the Regent of Banjarnegara, Budhi Sarwono, Deputy Regent Syamsudin, Forkompinda and the ranks of the central and regional PGRI. Deputy Regent of Banjarnegara, Syamsudin, recounted, in the tomb resides a warrior for the fate of the teachers. Dr. Sulistyo has a special place in the hearts of the people. The name Sulistyo is familiar to some people. For educators, especially teachers, that name is always remembered. Sulistyo is considered a hero of education," he said, (Sunday, July 28, 2019). From a distance, the tomb looks magnificent. On the right and left there are various supporting facilities such as parks and libraries. A yellow mosque, looks striking because it is located in the middle of the valley of the southern Serayu mountains. The entire building complex, including a magnificent mosque worth Rp1.4 billion, is the result of the collaboration of teachers who are members of PGRI throughout Indonesia to set aside part of their salary (contribution) for the cost of building the tomb. The education actors managed to raise funds of up to around Rp. 4 billion. After being built, the Monument of Dr. Sulistyo is often visited by pilgrims from various regions, both from education circles and the general public. For teachers, Dr. Sulistyo, who once served as Chair of the PGRI Executive Board, is a figure who consistently fights for the aspirations of teachers. He fought for it all the way to Senayan by becoming a member of the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) from Central Java so that the path would be easier. He also dared to lobby the President.
