Although the Seattle Sounders will be the first MLS club to play in the FIFA Club World Cup, they shouldn't be. In 2001, the LA Galaxy qualified for the CWC, were drawn in a group with Real Madrid, but then a FIFA scandal cancelled the whole tournament.
