Otter Trail: DANGEROUS RIVERS AND RAINY WEATHER BACKPACKING
The Otter Trail in The Garden Route is one of my favorite trails as it showcases both the coast and the forest. We had some bad weather, but it only made the adventure more fun! Our Bloukrans River crossing nearly didn't happen, and it was only thanks to 4 strong men that we managed it at all. This untouched wilderness area has beautiful overnight huts along the way, and plenty of wildlife to see.
