Bay Visions News Brief – April 18, 2016 – Bay Pines Leaders Sign MyVA Access Declaration

On the morning of April 18, dozens of Bay Pines VA leaders gathered at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center to reaffirm their commitment to providing timely, high quality health care services to America's Veterans. The focus the event was discussion about a new initiative called MyVA Access, a document called the MyVA Access Declaration and VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald's set of breakthrough priorities for the agency. The centerpiece of the activity was a large MyVA Access Declaration poster. The declaration is a set of is a set of guiding principles for enterprise-wide adoption to enhance health access and improve customer services. Each leader who attended the event signed the poster committing to its principles. For several leaders, the MyVA Access Declaration reinforces activities already occurring across the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System and also serves as a call to action for all employees to actively participate in improving healthcare delivery for Veterans.
