EXAMINATION CONFIRMING PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Year 2019 PART PRACTICAL A flood sensor was installed in a room flooded by subsurface water to detect the presence of water in the monitored area. The presence of water is signaled by an audible signal that continues until the flood is removed. The power supply connection to the flood sensor system is indicated by a red LED. The flood sensor system under consideration was damaged. After powering up, it was determined that the red LED indicating the connection of the power supply to the flood sensor system did not illuminate, however, the presence of liquid was correctly signaled by the sensor with an audible buzzer. A test of the damaged sensor was performed by measuring the voltages at test points PP1-PP5 (marked in Fig. 1), the resistance of selected flood sensor components, and testing the transistor and diode junctions. Find the fault in the flood sensor system and indicate how to repair it.
