You only hear your grandmother saying, "Come, let's go listen." The name of the girl from Majdan Sieniawski is unknown. No one wrote down her name. It only says: "a child of several years who showed up with her grandmother." Her grandmother didn't survive either. Or imagine you're a member of the Sejm (lower house of parliament). You have immunity, a mandate from the voters, the right to vote. And then, one night – on the night of September 9-10, 1930 – the police wake you up. You no longer have immunity, because the Sejm had been dissolved a few days earlier. They take you to the Brest Fortress. No one tells you when you'll be released. Or if you'll be released at all.
