How I Use the Cast-On Stitch for Wild Texture

In this video, I share how I use the cast-on stitch to create wild vertical texture in my Wildscapes and other textured fiber art pieces. While working on one of my hand-stitched Wildscapes, I demonstrate how this embroidery stitch can be used to create organic movement and dimensional details inspired by grasses, roots, vines, and the untamed feeling of the natural world. The cast-on stitch is one of my favorite ways to add height to a piece while building richly textured surfaces through stitch. I’m Susan Taylor Brown, a fiber artist creating embroidered Wildscapes inspired by mossy hillsides, forests, roots, and the textures of the natural world. 👉 NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP http://eepurl.com/grjXZH 💜 WEBSITE & SHOP https://www.susantaylorbrown.com 💜 INSTAGRAM   / susantaylorbrown   💜 AMAZON STOREFRONT https://www.amazon.com/shop/susantayl...
