PART 3: DIY Trailer RV Camping in Goblin Valley + Riding 5 Miles of Hell

Goblin Valley delivered one of the most unforgettable riding and camping experiences of the entire trip. We rolled into the area and somehow landed one of the most incredible desert camping spots imaginable. Then the weather warnings started coming in. Storms were on the way, and while we decided to stay, we made sure to avoid the lowest-lying areas and keep a close eye on conditions. By morning, the desert had completely transformed. We woke up to a pretty serious snowfall, followed by a major melt that brought Goblin Valley to life with flowing water, desert rivers, and unexpected waterfalls. It was one of those rare moments where the landscape changes right in front of you. From there, we got to ride some of the classic Goblin Valley trails, including the Red Trail and Orange Trail, before taking on the legendary 5 Miles of Hell — a proper bucket-list trail and easily one of the highlights of the trip. While we were in the area, we also made time for one of our all-time favourite rides: Devil’s Racetrack. And because this part of Utah just keeps delivering, we made a quick side trip over to the White Wash Sand Dunes, which are truly unique and absolutely worth the visit. This one has a little bit of everything: epic camping, wild desert weather, snow, waterfalls, classic Utah singletrack, technical riding, and some of the most iconic off-road terrain in the Southwest. Goblin Valley is hard to beat.
