BMW X7 vs Land Rover Discovery: 7-seat luxury SUVs head-to-head

The 2023 BMW X7 and Land Rover Discovery are two of the very best choices for those who want a luxury SUV with seven seats but find that a brand new Range Rover is a bit too much. The X7 might be the more obvious choice in this pairing, particularly as it's been facelifted for 2023, but we'd argue that the older Discovery is still well worth considering. Not only is it one of the more affordable (yes, it's a relative term here) seven-seat luxury SUVs, but viewed in isolation it also has loads of space, good levels of technology and a certain no-nonsense appeal. The BMW fights back, meanwhile, with a more sumptuous interior, a sportier drive and a slightly more accommodating interior.
