This video is a lesson in a series where I'll help guide you to becoming a Houdini Master, with 0 experience required. I'll share the knowledge and approach I wish I had when I first got started in Houdini, and show you proven workflows that I have used on countless projects. ------- ------- About me... If you’re new here, my name is Will Hendrickson. I’m the founder of WTTR Studios and WTTR Labs, a 3D creative studio and an indie game studio. I’ve spent the last several years working professionally in 3D, primarily using Houdini, Unreal Engine, Blender, and C4D. I studied computer science at Clemson University, which gave me a strong foundation in math, logic, and problem-solving. I combined that background with years of 3D experience and eventually dove deep into Houdini. Over the last 5+ years, I’ve used Houdini to: Create commercial 3D work for brands like PGA TOUR, WHOOP, PUMA, Bleacher Report, ESPN, Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning and others Build and release a mobile indie golf game (Stinger Golf on iOS) using Houdini + Unreal Engine workflows Design real, end-to-end pipelines for client and game dev projects I now freelance full-time while teaching and mentoring artists who want to actually think effectively in Houdini and get real results. Why I made this channel... For a long time, learning more Houdini didn’t make me better, it made me slower. I could follow tutorials or workshops, but I struggled to start from a blank scene and build something I truly understood and controlled. This channel exists to close that gap between the initial idea you have and the final project in Houdini. I focus on solo-artist-friendly workflows, project design, and thinking in terms that Houdini understands. Ultimately so artists can go from ideas to finished Houdini projects with full confidence. If that sounds interesting to you, you’re in the right place. You don’t need more tutorials. You need clearer thinking.
