Simple Pheasant Tail Nymph

In this video, our volunteer Fabio shows you how to tie a simple version of the "Pheasant Tail" nymph fly. This is a fly that imitates a large variety of aquatic insect larvae that many fish including trout feed upon. This is a wet fly that you can use to target trout under an indicator. You can use it together with another nymph or as a dropper with a dry fly. The latter use can be very effective. Always check your local fishing regulations as to how many flies you can use.
