They seem really happy together but when Tyler shows up, he kidnaps Dean and tortures him because he wants Caroline back (he's a werewolf in this one, not a hybrid, and yep, I really don't like his character at all) but she finds them and deals with Tyler. Care wants to protect Dean from him, so she makes him forget everything about her and their relationship.
