In Barry’s journey towards Iris’ heart - his “home”- he had two temporary relationships (Linda Park & Patty Spivot) before he reached his destination. Meanwhile Iris was committed to a relationship with Eddie Thawne. Thus for about 2 years or so (2014 – 2016 or Seasons 1& 2), it looked like Barry and Iris would never get together. Indeed, it was a stressful time for West-Allen fans but at the end of Season 2 and into Season 3 we were rewarded with a West-Allen love relationship, as the Gold Standard, that tickled and uplifted our hearts.
