Recorder Sonata in D minor - Baroque Composition
Recorder Sonata in D minor - Baroque styled composition by M. Koropisz Four Movements, Allegro - 00:12 Grave - 01:35 Allegro- 02:37 Vivace- 04:03 Tenor Recorder - Bob Koropisz Harpsichord - Michael Koropisz Allegro – A fast minor piece, filled with repeating patterns. Grave – A contrasting, slow ‘mystical’ piece. Set to contrast with the preceding music. Allegro- A short fast piece written in 9/8 triple time. Vivace – A fast and lively piece written in the tonic major, a ‘breath of fresh air’ to end the rather dark and heavy sonata. My particular favourite, I wrote it with fast-paced fingering and repeating patterns to show off the potential of the recorder as an instrument.
