Vintage Speaker Restoration: Acoustic Research AR4X (Mistakes Included)
My first speaker restoration was facilitated by the gift of these speakers from my old friend, David. I was largely ignorant but confident that I could learn what I needed (because internet). I made a terrible mistake that would have ruined the woofer surrounds had I not been bailed out by Glen on Audiokarma! Today, the speakers look and sound beautiful paired with a resto/mod Magnavox tube amp in my bedroom. This video chronicles the three-month-long journey of restoring these speakers.
