Cuerpo a cuerpo: El caso Marita Verón - Canal Encuentro

On April 3, 2002, Marita Verón left her home in the capital of Tucumán Province to go to the doctor and never returned. Susana Trimarco, her mother, soon realized that her disappearance concealed something very deep—human trafficking—and began a search that, despite threats, intimidation, and corruption, never stopped. Although Susana was unable to find her daughter, Marita's case became emblematic and allowed for the creation of a true map of human trafficking. Currently, Susana Trimarco is the president of the María de los Ángeles Foundation, which provides comprehensive, free assistance to families and victims of human trafficking. Trimarco and the foundation have successfully freed more than 8,500 women. #canalencuentro #documentary #genderviolence #women #humanrights
