He and his friend Chowder (Christian Convery) notice that something very strange is happening at the house of old Mr. Nebbercracker (Christopher lloyd), a grumpy man who hates it when anyone steps on his lawn. One day, Mr. Nebbercracker falls ill and is taken to the hospital—and that's when things get scary: His house starts acting on its own, alive, with a mouth, eyes, and tongue (the door and the doormat). It swallows everything that comes near it—toys, people, and even animals.
