Muere el maquinista de un tren de FGC al chocar con otro de mercancías en Sant Boi (Barcelona)

Barcelona, May 17 (EFE) – The driver of a Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) train died this Monday in a collision between a freight train and a passenger train in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona). This collision also left 86 people injured, most of them with minor injuries and who have been released on the spot. For reasons still unknown and being investigated by the Mossos d'Esquadra and the FGC, around 6:00 p.m. on Monday, approximately 300 meters from the FGC's Sant Boi station, the third carriage of a freight train carrying potash headed for Barcelona derailed and struck the cabin of a passenger train that was leaving the terminal at the time.
