Cupola Colliery worked from at least 1797 and closed 1888. We have never found a definite location for the colliery staith, In this Video we look at the evidence and give an overall look at the colliery site. Coal from the staith at Dunnocksjaw was taken via a steam wagon down to another staith in Crawshawbooth at the bottom of Adelaide street where the library is today
