Blacksmithing School: 1.2 Heating Holding Hitting... the Triumvirate.
Blacksmith Will Bastas teaches the concepts of drawing a taper on the reins of his "Little Monkey Hands (of Death) Tongs" using the powerhammer. This is an hour-long (but worth it!) video and the first in a series of Blacksmithing classes provided by Bastas. Will Bastas, former artist-in-residence at the National Ornamental Metal Museum, founded the degreed Blacksmithing Program at Austin Community College in 1992, created all of the curriculum and taught for 26 years. He is also a CWI, CWE, and Certified Pipe Welder 6G SCH120.
