Lo  Pagan  in  winter

Lo Pagan, February 19, 2024 Lo Pagan is a district of the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar. It is located on the coast of the Mar Menor, in the autonomous community of the Murcia region, in south-eastern Spain. In the north it is limited by Los Cuarteros, and in the south by Santiago de la Ribera, the district of San Javier. It is the toponym of the Pagan y Ayuso family, in particular Pedro Pagan y Ayuso, a 19th-century character who owned the estate "Vistabella", who also gave his name to a street in San Pedro del Pinatar. He was the first to settle along the coast on his farm, located on the border of the demarcation with San Javier (now the urbanization "La Pinada"), building a large house with a tower similar to a medieval castle, today lost. Two more towers will be built later. The Los Castillicos promenade, which runs along the sea in front of La Pinada, owes its name to the resemblance of these towers to a castle.
