Basic Key Commands in Cubase | Music Production for Beginners 3

Using key commands really speeds up your workflow in Cubase. They are great shortcut, because you don't have to spend time using the mouse to find different commands. The function keys operate a lot of the basic controls, like opening and closing the mix console, access to VST connections, the MediaBay and automation panel. Tools including arrow, eraser, scissors, glue, zoom, mute, pencil and scrub tool can all be accessed using key commands, as well as frequently used commands like zoom in, zoom out, copy, paste, undo and all the commands you need for transport and recording, like set locators, cycle, punch in and out, metronome, play, stop, record, quantize, snap setting, jump to event, move backwards, forwards and more.
