Will A Tire Rotation Reduce My Steering Wheel Shake?

foryabud.com 👈🔧 While test driving the Toyota Avalon, I found the steering wheel shakes while coasting, braking or accelerating. Steering wheel shake increases with speed. I also noticed the parking brake shoes are a little noisy/squeaky when applied. Suspected a bent rim, warped tires (flat spots) or an out of balance issue. Inspected vehicle and found the front tires to have flat spots (warped cords) which can cause a steering wheel shake. Passenger's front tire noted having the the most warpage. Rear tires have little to no flat spotting. In this video, I rotate the front tires to the rear in order to verify the cause of the steering wheel shake. If the front tire warpage is the cause, rotating the better tires to the front should reduce steering shake. I also remove the rear rotors in order to clean up some excessive brake dust and lubricate the brake pad shoes where they contact the backing plate. Follow up test drive video soon!
