Windy day - sailing Force 6 with WindGear on Jeanneau Sangria

Wind: W 6 - 7, wave height: 1.5 m, location: southern baltic. Sails: storm jib, main sail in 3rd reef. Boat: Jeanneau Sangria, 7.6 m length over all. Even under sidewise load by the waves, the "WindGear by Joern Heinrich" selfsteering vane steers precisely and without delay. The ship is securely kept on heading whatever running point of sail: Close hauled, Beam Reach, Broad reach, running. On the broad reach and running courses, the newly developed and worldwide unique yaw dampening gear of the vane limits the wave induced heading error to +/-20 degrees despite of roll movements up to +/-45°. http://www.windautopilot.de
