We saved an Audi S8 V10 5.2l from catastrophic failure.

We strip down a 5.2l V10 engine in the Audi S8 — the car came in originally to us for a dyno run, and then carbon clean and stage 2. But as you’ll see in this video, what started as a straightforward tuning job very quickly turned into something much bigger when we heard a metallic knock at the back of the engine. TLDR - This is what we found from the strip down - this tensioner was beginning to become slack which reduced its efficiency to keep the chain tensioned, which was causing the metallic knock on the engine - and would have failed over time causing catastrophic damage. So luckily we managed to diagnose this and replaced all the components with brand new genuine parts. This video is an in-depth deep dive into the faults we found.
