𝗦𝘆𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘂 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 The long wait for clean, reliable water is almost over as the Nairobi Water and Sanitation Project (NWSP) — a partnership between the Government of Kenya and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) — moves into its final stages in Syokimau. Eng. Caroline Owako, Project Manager, NWSP (AWWDA), led a technical site tour along Mombasa Road, inspecting ongoing transmission works that form part of the 400-kilometre network expansion. She assured residents that the last-mile connections will soon channel treated water directly into homes. Eng. Jessie Ambundo, Technical Services Manager, MAVWASCO, affirmed that the team is working to ensure every link meets high engineering standards for sustained pressure and quality supply. For the estimated 55,000 Syokimau residents who have depended on borehole water for years, the developments bring renewed hope.
