Hymn: Hail the Day That Sees Him Rise, music Robert Williams, 1817; text Charles Wesley, 1739

Clay Christiansen plays this hymn recently added to the 'Hymns for Home and Church' of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: "Hail the day that sees Him rise, Alleluia! To His throne beyond the skies. Alleluia! Christ, the Lamb for sinners giv'n, Alleluia! Enters now the highest heav'n. Alleluia!....." The organ sounds [registrations] are inspired by the complete text of the hymn in the hope that you might also find them inspiring. The notes are played as printed with no editing except for occasionally sustaining the bass line (in the pedals) and very rarely a note in the left hand. This approach is taken in the hope that it will be seen that even the most "pianistic" of hymns can be played on the more sacred sound of the organ with very little adaption.
