Dentiste, pourquoi est-ce si cher ?

One of Emmanuel Macron's campaign promises was to guarantee free eyeglasses, dental appliances, and hearing aids for all French citizens. Until now, these products, essential to our health, have been unaffordable because they are poorly covered by the national health insurance system. In fact, nearly one in five insured individuals reports having forgone dental care for financial reasons. Why are dentures and implants so expensive? How can we explain that a crown, costing €700, is reimbursed at barely €80 by social security? Today, solutions exist to help you pay less. Low-cost centers, for example, are emerging, where dentists are salaried employees, work continuously, and where prostheses are purchased wholesale. You can also go abroad, to the Canary Islands (Spain), for example, where prostheses are sold and fitted at half price. Who benefits from this market? Why are we so poorly reimbursed?
