EF5 tornado in Greensburg, Kansas - May 4, 2007
A massive wedge tornado strikes Greensburg, Kansas on the night of May 4, 2007. Lightning flashes illuminate the tornado and several satellite tornadoes in the darkness. Natural gas escapes from a ruptured main with a loud hiss. Cattle walk along the road, escaping through damaged fencing. The tornado was rated EF5, destroyed the majority of the town of Greensburg and resulted in the death of 12 people.
