Trevi Fountain at Night | This Rome Detour Was Too Much

After arriving in Rome just 24 hours earlier, we had already packed in a full day of tour buses, detours, wrong turns, museums, statues, milkshakes and Roman street food. We thought we were done trying to fit everything into one day… But then we realised Rome never sleeps. So Ollie and I headed back out for one last detour: gelato, a walk through the streets of Rome and a visit to the Trevi Fountain as night began to fall. The only problem was that everyone else in Rome seemed to have the same idea. We reached Trevi before it was fully dark, wandered through the surrounding streets, then returned later to find the fountain glowing—and the crowds even bigger than before. Along the way, we try some unusual gelato flavours, avoid the bracelet sellers, explore Piazza Colonna and finish the night with authentic Roman pizza before making the exhausted walk back towards Termini. Was seeing the Trevi Fountain at night worth fighting through the crowds? Watch to find out. This is the final part of our attempt to see as much of Rome in one day as possible.
