El IMIDA impulsa el cultivo del mújol como nueva especie en la acuicultura.
The Murcian Institute of Agrifood Research and Development (IMIDA) is developing an innovative project to introduce mullet as a new farmed species in regional aquaculture. Traditionally valued for its roe used in the production of salted fish, the mullet is a species well-adapted to the local ecosystem and with great potential. The research, being carried out at the San Pedro del Pinatar aquaculture facility, aims not only to promote its farming but also to explore the use of agricultural byproducts, such as broccoli meal, in its feed.
