In the municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane, the Zona Abierta Business Association (ACZA) officially launched the 'ACZA 360' project, a pioneering initiative aimed at modernizing and digitizing the local business sector to adapt it to new technological demands and consumer habits. The launch event featured speeches by the Mayor of Los Llanos de Aridane, Javier Llamas, along with representatives of the business association. Also highlighted was the collaboration and presence of key figures such as David Mille, Director General of Commerce and Consumer Affairs for the Government of the Canary Islands; Miriam Perestelo, Councilor for Economic Development of the La Palma Island Council and Sodepal; and Verónica González, Councilor for Commerce for the municipality. The authorities emphasized the importance of inter-administrative collaboration to strengthen local businesses. With the support of a €59,800 grant from ERDF funds through the Canary Islands Smart Commercial Destination program, ACZA 360' will implement advanced tools for local businesses. Key initiatives include the creation of virtual tours of establishments, the integration of appointment booking systems, and a pilot project with five IoT sensors. These sensors will allow for anonymous monitoring of customer traffic, providing valuable data to improve decision-making within the sector.
