Eric demonstrates his techniques in extracts of three songs. The first "On Wings of Song" requires deep breath control, emotion and phrasing with controlled vibrato and mature emotion which a younger boy could not give. The second "Nightingale" requires complex vocalisation and high tessitura, together with deep breathing. He demonstrates his complete ease at singing in the high register using the "small voice" and using traditional head tone with controlled vibrato, rubato and great emotion. A technique completely lost since the 1950's. For the last song "Ombra fedele anch'io" excercice Eric demonstrates he can hold a high note (Lab, Ab) with an effortless vibrato of 30s.
